Churchill’s words on capitalism
“Capitalism is the worst form of economic management, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.”
The problem with that common point is that most of those times have NOT been full blood, decent tries at doing things other ways. There has been, each time, HUGE pressure from capitalist powers to not give those tries a fair chance. Including media campaigns, economic pressure, very violent suppression and outright military invasion. What chance did the tries have?
It's like if you have asked a kid to jump up and reach a branch on a tree, but tied heavy weights to his legs each time... can we really say he tried but failed? No. Is there any attempt, through history, at trying alternatives that were not hampered with those heavy weights by surrounding capitalists? Can you think of even ONE?
Of what are they afraid? If capitalism is the best then why not let all those silly left hippies REALLY try an alternative... and watch them come crawling back to capitalism a few years later. But no, they can never permit that - because the capitalist elite know that there IS an alternative, several...and the very last thing they want is for any of us to actually TRY one of them. Because we might like it...
(another analogy, for a laugh: 'you are obviously crap at driving a car. you’ve taken the test 20 times and failed each time ...the fact that a policeman in the back seat blindfolded you each time has nothing to do with it!')
